Honey Face Mask: Benefits of Raw Honey For Your Skin

Raw honey mask benefits for your face for glowing skin

Have you try raw honey for your face? If not, then you’re in for a sweet treat! The amazing benefits of raw honey mask for your skin cannot be over stated. It’s good for all skin types: Whether you have dry skin, sensitive skin or oily skin, raw honey can do wonder for you. Not only that, raw honey mask is also amazing for acne, not to mention renewing your face for glowing skin.

Raw Honey Skin Benefits for Your Skin

Unpasteurized Raw Honey is naturally anti-inflammatory. Honey kills bacteria while soothing your skin and hydrating your pores.

Raw honey crystallized at room temperature. The granular texture of crystallized honey is perfect as a gentle exfoliant.

The best part: you probably already have it in your kitchen!

I fill a small jar with the same local raw honey for my honey soap SUNSHINE. Honey last a long time as long as you be mindful to not let water or impurities into the jar. I keep the jar with a clean spoon in my bathroom so a sweet honey face mask is as simple as scooping a dollop with the spoon.

Here’s what you do:

Massage your face with a quarter-sized dollop of raw honey with a few drops of warm water. You can wash it off right away, or leave it on as long as you want. Wash the honey off with tepid water and pat dry with a soft face cloth. You’ll be amazed at how your skin look and feel! ✨

Black heads and pores bothering you? Mix the honey with a couple drops of water and a pinch of bentonite clay. Then apply to you face.

Does it needs to be raw honey?

Yes. Raw honey is unpasteurized, which means it retains its natural beneficial nutrients and antioxidants.

“Regular” honey had undergone a variety of processing. It also doesn’t crystallize like raw honey do, which give you the gentle exfoliation benefits.

How long to leave honey on face?

As long as you want, but probably not overnight (unless you want sticky pillow case!)

I put the honey on my face and then walk around the house to scare my kids. But you may choose a more zen ritual and simply relax with a mug of herbal tea and a book. Either way, let the sweet honey soothe your soul while it works its magic for your skin.

How often should I use this honey mask?

It’s up to you. Twice a week is great, weekly is lovely. If you only do it once a month, that’s awesome as well!

This is so simple and the result is Amazing with a capital A. I have been doing this for a few years now. Sometimes I do this once a week, sometimes I do it once a month.

Lemme tell you, my skin is better than when I was in my 20’s and 30’s. Granted, it's the result of healthier eating habit, masking with raw honey when I remember, and using mild gentle soap as part of my daily routine.

Because, after all, what's the point of expensive potions if we're eating junk and washing with hash cleansers, am I right?!

Take good care of yourself my dear friend. You’re SO worth it!
